What are your business hours? I work Monday - Friday dyeing, shipping, and answering your emails. As the owner and sole employee of Rainbow Heirloom, I have a lot to do and have to limit time spent on certain tasks! If you've sent me an email, I will get back to you as soon as possible and always within 3 business days.  

Do you accept custom orders? Yes. If you would like to order 3 or more skeins of Rainbow Heirloom Sweater in a single colourway, you can find out more information and place your custom order here. If you'd like to order 3 or more skeins of a single colourway on one of my other bases, get in touch and I'll see what I can do! 

Can I pick and choose blanket kit palettes?  Short answer is no. Hours of development have gone into creating perfect rainbows, and I focus on bringing my artistic vision to life in these kits.  If you want to use one of my rainbow kits as a base upon which to build a larger palette, I would love to see what you create!

What is the yarn like? I stock a range of yarns and regularly expand the bases available for purchase. All the details about my yarn, including care instructions, are included in the product descriptions.

What colours do you have available? You can check out my regular colours here. These colour samples are shown on Rainbow Heirloom Sweater. Colourways will look slightly different on different yarn bases, and can appear different on different screens.  Other colours will often be available for purchase in shop updates (subscribe to the mailing list to hear first about shop updates). Please note that hand-dyed yarns are made in small batches, and no two skeins will be exactly the same - be sure to alternate skeins when working with larger projects.  

How do shop updates work? Shop updates often include a mixture of 'in stock' and 'preorder' items. My shop update is usually scheduled for every two weeks (though this is not steadfast - it usually depends on what I have available!). I will often post previews of upcoming shop updates on instagram and I will send out email updates when new items go live in the shop to subscribers, with details about current stock. How do I care for my Rainbow Heirloom yarn? I've taken great care to make my vivid hand-dyed yarns colourfast, but please be aware that some of the particularly intense hues have a greater tendency to bleed. I recommend pre-washing these colours, where possible. Though many of my bases are superwash yarns, for longevity I recommend handwashing your finished projects and laying them flat to dry. How will you ship my order? International orders are shipped with Royal Mail standard parcel service. Parcels usually take 7-14 days to arrive (though it can sometimes be much longer - sometimes up to 6 weeks for parcels to reach international destinations). This shipping method does not include a tracking service. If you would like to insure your parcel and receive a tracking number at an additional shipping cost, please email me after you place your order and I will invoice you accordingly. Customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer. UK parcels are shipped with Royal Mail first class service and usually arrive within 1 - 3 working days. 

How long will it take to ship my order? I usually do a post office drop twice a week. Items labelled as 'in stock' will be shipped within 1 - 5 working days. 'Pre-order' items are shipped in 4 - 6 weeks. Information about the shipping times for your order are included in the product descriptions.

Can I return my order? I take great pride in my work and I want you to be happy with your yarn! However if you've changed your mind about your purchase please contact me within 14 days. I'll ask you to return the unused yarn in suitable packaging, before refunding the original product price. You are responsible for the return shipping cost, unless the product is deemed faulty or damaged.   

Where can I buy your yarn? My yarn is currently only available in my online shop. I also do a number of yarn festivals throughout the year (so you can squish my yarn in person!), further details of which will be included in email updates.
